My ShelterBox Story

With 85 million people displaced around the world, emergency shelter is needed now more than ever. ShelterBox is proud to lead the way in the future of disaster relief, empowering families in vulnerable, hard to reach communities to rebuild their lives.
I've created this page because I'm inspired by the work of ShelterBox and want to support them by raising money to shelter more families this year. Please help by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.
When you give, you are helping to ensure that no family goes without shelter when disaster strikes. No matter the size, your investment will transform lives and contribute to the process of recovery. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
Also, the more people that know about ShelterBox, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you!

Mississippi Expedition

Blob

Ever since ShelterBoxUSA Ambassador and Cape Coral (Florida) Rotary Club President Erik Elsea was a kid growing up near St Louis, Missouri, he'd always dreamed of canoeing all 2552* miles of the Mississippi River from the Headwaters in northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. They say it takes a drop of water 90 days to go that distance, so that's what he's decided to do: starting on July 6, 2018, he'll spend 90 days on the river, stopping to visit places he's always wanted to see, and giving presentations about ShelterBox to groups along the way. To follow Erik's blog and learn more about how the mission and purpose of this fundraiser, visit www.MississippiExpedition.com!
